Our Services
Set Your Sights provides before and after school clubs helping schools to provide, and parents to access high quality and affordable 'wrap around' care.
Before school clubs are activity based and include time for fun and active games and a quiet time to have a breakfast snack before school starts. They are staffed by enthusiastic and experienced coaches. Please click on your schools page for more specific information on timings, costs etc as this may differ between schools.
Our OFSTED registered after school clubs (and before school club at Charles Darwin Primary and Avenue Junior School) are run by staff qualified in childcare and experienced in providing a wide range of activities. These sessions are designed to introduce the children to many topics including Sport, Art, and Drama in a fun, safe and inclusive environment. We will set short term topics and goals and allow children to explore these areas at a pace that suits them. Although these sessions will be planned and structured carefully, we do understand the need for children to have an opportunity to relax after a long school day and we shall pace the sessions accordingly. There will be an opportunity for children to do homework if they wish to.
Please click on your schools page for more specific information on timings, costs etc as this may differ between schools.
Child Safety
The Safety and Wellbeing of the children in our care is of the highest priority. All our staff are trained in Safeguarding and we have a robust Safeguarding and Health & Safety policy in place. Staff who prepare food have food hygiene certification and full risk assessments are in place. For more detailed information and to find out what to do if you have a concern please visit our Safeguarding page here.
Reception Age Children
We care for a lot of children currently in the Reception Year at school, working in the Early Years Foundation Stage. We recognise the specific needs and support that children in this age group need. All children in the Reception year of school are provided with a Keyworker when they join an After School Club. This provides continuity of care and reassurance for both parents and children. For more detailed information on how we follow the Early Years Foundation Stage requirements at After School Clubs please see our EYFS policy for your setting.
