"I have always held passions for Drama, Music and Sport. At the age of seven I joined my local Football club and since then have been heavily involved in sport. I represented my county in both Football and Cricket, was selected for an East Anglia Representative XI in Football at the age of 14 and reached the National Final in Cricket with Norfolk County Cricket Club at 15. I completed a year at The Bracewell Cricket Academy in New Zealand, where I developed as a player and a coach. I was also selected for one of six National Cricket Academies whilst at University. Having been involved throughout school in Drama productions, I decided to study the Theatre at University, where I helped produce work that led us to London, Edinburgh Fringe Festival and a residency at the centre for European contemporary Arts in Cardiff. I am a keen musician and have performed for Radio 4 and BBC Radio Wales. I have been able to achieve and experience these things due to the high level of teaching and guidance that I received throughout my childhood. I value this help and am dedicated to my goal of providing similar environments and support which will allow others to achieve their potential and fulfil their goals.
After running Set Your Sights for 10 years, I continue to take great pleasure in providing opportunities to both the child that attend our clubs and the staff that love to run them.”

My passion for teaching children and making a difference in young people lives stemmed from my early childhood where for as long as I can remember I have wanted to go into teaching. Since having this aspiration to go on and teach children I am currently half way through a Level 3 Diploma in Childcare and Education where I hope to continue my study with a degree next year. I have learnt all about Safeguarding the Early Years Foundation Stage and putting children’s needs first with this course that I am now thrilled to put into practice at Set Your Sights. Throughout my qualification I have gained lots of experience with young people by going to placements at a local primary school twice a week where I have supported children and there families whilst having lots of fun. At my previous employment I gained even further experience with children up to 12 years old as a Party Host keeping the children and their families safe as well as providing them with food and an amazing service. I’m eager to start working at Charles Darwin Primary School and above all looking forward to putting a smile on children’s faces and teaching them new skills they can use for life, whilst providing a safe, caring and enjoyable environment for every child.

Introduction to Safeguarding Children
I was born in Thailand, but have been living in the UK since 2000.
After completing my education, I taught in a secondary school for a while before moving on to work as a Tour Guide. I enjoy looking after people, especially children, so after coming to England I chose to study for my NVQ qualification and become a Playworker. I also have experience of working with younger children in a nursery setting.
One of the first things I learned working with children, is that if you respect them then they will respect you. I like to organise both physical and arts and crafts group activities, but often find myself asked to join in the activities the children themselves have organised. So, I may find myself playing badminton, table tennis, tag, avalanche, or perhaps just being the goalkeeper for their penalty shootout. I am happy to be flexible so that I can meet their needs. I really enjoy my job and the satisfaction it brings me.
