After School Club Playworkers

 

We are looking for a After School Playworker to work in a setting within Norwich. 

 

Qualifications/Experience:

- Level 3 or higher in Childcare or Early Years Education desired.

- Experience of working with groups of children from Y3 to Y6 desired.

- Experience of supporting children with behavioural, social and emotional needs desired.

- Paediatric First Aid/DBS/Safeguarding/Food Hygiene desired.

 

Duties

- Adhere to all requirements within the Ofsted Framework to work towards a Good/Outstanding setting.

- Assisting in the day to day running of the club

- Behaviour management

- Supporting the manager to ensure all children’s medical needs are met.

- Daily face to face contact with parents

- Liaising with relevant school staff - Teachers/TAs, SENCO and office staff.

- Keeping up to date with Safeguarding policy & requirements.

 

The After School Club runs from 3.00pm - 6.00pm Monday to Friday during term time.

 

The role is based within the Norwich area

 

15 hours per week

From £10.50 per hour

 

Pension available

 

The applicant must have experience within a childcare setting. They should be passionate and enthusiastic, punctual, organised and have good communication skills.

After School Club Deputy Manager Maternity Cover

 

We are looking for an After School Deputy Manager to work in an exciting and expanding setting within Norwich. Initially maternity cover however as an expanding business this could be a permanent role.

 

Qualifications/Experience:

- Level 3 or higher in Childcare or Early Years Education.

- Knowledge & Experience of working with children in the Early Years Foundation Stage - planning activities to meet the EYFS Early Learning Goals, written observations and Keyworker responsibilities.

- Experience of managing groups of children from YR to Y6.

- Experience of supporting children with behavioural, social and emotional needs.

- Paediatric First Aid/DBS/Safeguarding/Food Hygiene

 

Duties:

- Day to day running of the club

- In absence of Club Manager, preparing and setting up activities, register/boards updates & reporting via email to SYS any issues as they arise, answering parent queries & directing staff to their daily tasks

- Behaviour management

- Supporting monitoring to ensure all children’s medical needs are met. Knowledge of dealing with children who have allergies that may need treatment from an EPI PEN.

- Daily face to face contact with parents - dealing with queries and passing on information.

- Liaising with relevant school staff - Teachers/TAs, SENCO and office staff.

- Keeping up to date with Safeguarding policy & requirements.

- Health, Safety and Food Hygiene Management including daily checks and daily diary.

- Create signs and notices & maintain parent information board.

- Follow fire safety regulations & conduct fire drills

 

The After School Club runs from 3pm - 6pm Monday to Friday during term time.

 

15 hours per week

From £11.72 per hour
